It looks like one recruit will be following in his mother's footsteps.
On Saturday, three-star offensive lineman Owen Condon (6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Oklahoma City, OK) announced that he was committing to Georgia just days after taking a visit to Athens.
"It's been an awesome experience going through the recruiting process. Along the way, I've been blessed to meet some amazing people and visit some great campuses. I'd like to thank all those who have played a part in my journey especially my parents, coaches, and friends who have supported me through it all. I'm excited, blessed, and happy to say I am committed to the University of Georgia!"
According to 247Sports, Condon's mother attended Georgia and was an influence on Condon making the decision.
The offensive line was one of the weakest parts of the Georgia team last year, and Kirby Smart has been a man on a mission over the past several months to recruit has many offensive linemen as he can to correct the issue in the future. Georgia took five lineman in the 2017 class, and with Condon on board, they now have two for the 2018 class.
Overall, Georgia now has six recruits committed for 2018.
