On 35th anniversary of Herschel's school record vs. Vandy, Nick Chubb takes aim at Commodores

In the history of Bulldogs beat downs against Vanderbilt — and with a 54-19-2 all-time record against the Commodores — there have been plenty of them, none may have been more satisfying than Herschel Walker's single-handed, 41-0 demolition.

The 1980 rout saw Walker punish Vandy for 283 yards and three touchdowns. The 283 yards remain as Georgia's single-game rushing record.

Check out the carnage Walker left below:

Only one Georgia running back has come within 20 yards of the 283 Walker put up that day and he will be leading Georgia against Vanderbilt this Saturday. His name is Nick Chubb.

On the 35th anniversary of Walker's mark, perhaps all the pieces are in place to see that record fall. One thing's for sure, nobody will be cheering louder Saturday than the record-holder himself.
