Could Kirby Smart be angling to revive the black jerseys? It looks like he is at least making the possibility known on the recruiting trail.
Many Georgia fans have been longing to see the black tops return, as they — combined with a blackout of Sanford Stadium — give the Bulldogs a unique look that few other schools can match. The red-top, silver-britches combo may be the classic look for Georgia, but it definitely wouldn't hurt them to branch out every now and then. The black jerseys would certainly qualify as branching out, plus they would get a chance to redeem the jerseys of that 2008 loss to Alabama.
Britt is a four-star linebacker that is currently uncommitted, but he will likely be choosing between Georgia and Auburn. Who knows, maybe the jerseys could be a game-changer for him.
