Rising sophomore Juwuan Briscoe was arrested late Saturday night on misdemeanor traffic charges. He was arrested by the UGA police department, but that hasn't stopped people from tweeting their frustrations at the wrong police department.
For some reason the Athens-Clarke County Police Department has been taking the brunt of the anger from Georgia fans. They finally had enough of it and fired back with some serious snark.
@UGAfootballLive We didn't arrest him, but we probably would have. It is the law of the land: you must have a license if you want to drive.

@McCann_Kevin1 needs to evaluate who the arresting agency was....

@samkramer76 sounds to us like you confused us with another law enforcement agency.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department had to let people know that the law is the law. The worst part is that people think these players should get deferential treatment because it will dissuade future recruits from going there. Besides all the irrationality involved in that logic, it just goes to show what people actually think recruits pay attention to when making a commitment.
