Four-star OLB Quay Walker stunningly decommits from Alabama, picks SEC rival

Wow.

Four-star Alabama outside linebacker commitment Quay Walker flipped to Georgia and signed his letter of intent with the Bulldogs during National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Walker committed to the Tide in June but has kept his recruitment open and was also considering Tennessee as well.

The four-star linebacker was expected to be favoring the Vols, who became a finalist after hiring head coach Jeremy Pruitt in December. Naturally, Walker used that as an opportunity to make his announced more dramatic by putting on a Tennessee hat before tossing it for Georgia gear.

Walker took his last official visit with the home state Bulldogs and plans to announce his official decision during a National Signing Day ceremony on Wednesday.

The senior ranks as the No. 2 outside linebacker, the No. 6 player from the state of Georgia and the No. 31 overall prospect for the 2018 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

The Bulldogs had previously flipped No. 5 outside linebacker Otis Reese, who was committed to Michigan, on National Signing Day. Georgia currently rank No. 1 overall in the 247Sports Team Composite rankings.
