Report: Georgia has named its starting quarterback for Week 2

It's about time!

After a standout performance in Georgia's season-opener, quarterback Jacob Eason has taken over the starting gig for the Bulldogs, per Online Athens.

After shredding North Carolina for 131 yards and one touchdown on just 12 attempts, head coach Kirby Smart is reportedly going with Eason for Georgia's tilt with Nicholls State.

Eason split time with senior Greyson Lambert in the season-opener last week.

A true freshman, the matchup against Nicholls State could just be an opportunity to get Eason meaningful playing time against a team the Bulldogs are taking lightly. Or it could be a signal for a decision over the rest of the season, and to start the Eason era now.
