Report: Georgia to play in Chick-Fil-A kickoff game again in 2020

This could be good for the Bulldogs' schedule.

Georgia started off its season and the Kirby Smart era with a win in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff game against North Carolina. It looks like the Bulldogs could be doing the same thing a few years from now in 2020.

It was reported that West Virginia and Florida State were close to a deal, but it seems that might have fallen through as the Bulldogs will play another ACC team for the game. Macon.com is reporting that Georgia will play Virginia and the game is slated for Monday, Sept. 7, which will be the first Labor Day game Georgia has played since 1982, per the report.

Macon.com obtained the game contract through a Freedom of Information Act request in Virginia. The contract featured the signature of Cavaliers associate athletic director Jon Oliver and showed Georgia as the game's other participant.
