Western Kentucky head coach Jeff Brohm is a guy you should expect to see get a shot at a power 5 school sometime soon. Last season he lead the Hilltoppers to a 12-2 record and a top 25 ranking, so don't be shocked if the Hilltoppers duplicate that success this year and somebody scoops Brohm up.

At one time that somebody was almost Alabama. In 2007 Brohm was an assistant coach on the rise at Louisville when new Alabama head coach Nick Saban offered him the job of Offensive Coordinator on his Crimson Tide staff. Brohm was the quarterbacks coach at Louisville and ultimately had to decide between a promotion at Louisville or leaving for Alabama.
"In all reality, it basically came down to a simple question I asked myself, and that was, 'Do I want to help the University of Alabama win a national championship or do I want to help the University of Louisville win a national championship?''' Brohm told the Louisville Courier-Journal at the time. ''I felt the answer was easy, and I chose Louisville.''
Things have worked out just fine for Brohm even though he chose to remain at Louisville and he has nothing but respect for the Tide. Brohm is hoping his Hilltoppers hang tough with Bama on Saturday and he sounds like the kind of guy Tide fans should hope winds up in another conference and not on the other sideline in the SEC.
