LSU running back Leonard Fournette may be remembered as one of the best running backs in the history the program and the SEC. Against Alabama however, he's just average.

Just checked, over 3 years Bama defense held Fournette to 145 yards on 57 carries. That's incredible, bc Fournette is a truly special RB

Fournette has run over opposing defenses week in and week out, but against Alabama Fournette has been nothing but average, never once standing out against the Tide. This season Fournette was described by Tigers coaches as the most determined player on the LSU roster heading into Saturday's 10-0 loss to Alabama.
It didn't matter.
Leonard Fournette with a better showing this year against the Tide. Last year, 19 rushes for 31 YDS. This year, 17 rushes, 35 YDS. Progress.

Fournette may go down as a great running back in SEC history, but never far from that memory will be the memory of Fournette being dominated by the Alabama defense.
Leonard Fournette in 3 career games vs. Alabama: 57 carries, 145 yards, 1 TD (2.5 yards per carry)
