Clock management is the bane of Les Miles' existence.
LSU had driven down the field while down 18-13 at Auburn, with LSU getting into the redzone for a real shot at winning the game. On the second to last play of the game, LSU had potential first-down called back due to an illegal shift, meaning they had one shot to try and snap the ball on fourth down with :01 on the clock.
The play ran, and LSU quarterback Danny Etling rolled out as Auburn defensive end Carl Lawson chased him out of the pocket. Elting was able to get a throw away, and wide reciever D.J. Clark made an amazing grab for the apparent game-winning touchdown.
In the words of Lee Corso, though, not so fast.
Upon review, the touchdown was taken away after it was ruled that LSU did not get the snap off before the clock hit zero. Auburn walked away with the 18-13 win, while Les Miles takes another loss on some botched clock management.
