There's been a ton of talk about when Florida and LSU will reschedule their postponed game. It was originally postponed because of Hurricane Matthew and the shadow of doubt it cast on the likelihood of being able to play a game in any sort of football conditions. The game does not currently have a new date for the teams to play.

RELATED: SEC commissioner says UF-LSU game will happen
FOX Sports' Clay Travis apparently is an insider on these things now and seems to believe the two schools are close to making a decision on the game.
Hearing LSU at Florida may happen on 11/19. LSU would play South Alabama on 10/29 & UF would play Presby on 10/22. Negotiations ongoing.

Not only are there conflicts with some of those dates —- that will be explained a little further down —- but the schools aren't the ones who make the decision because it's the SEC who does that. That and apparently the Big South —- Presbyterian's conference —- has had no communication with Florida as of yet.
Neither Presbyterian nor the Big South Conference commissioner has been contacted by the SEC or Florida according to our sources. https://t.co/AoYXp8Mags

So not only does it look like Travis might be making things up, but he is throwing out dates that make no sense. Presbyterian couldn't play Florida on October 22 because Presbyterian has a game against Charleston Southern. LSU couldn't play South Alabama on October 29 because the Jaguars have a game against Georgia State.

While both SEC schools could buy out their games against Presbyterian and South Alabama to make their game happen on November 19, both are unlikely to do so because they'd like the cupcake game before big rivalry games the next week. Florida plays FSU the next week while LSU plays at Texas A&M.
