LSU leader calls out entire team after upset loss to Troy

No excuse for this loss.

There is a lot of attention on the LSU football program right now and, frankly, most of it is negative. Ed Orgeron's team picked up a win over Syracuse last week but that victory was sandwiched between an embarrassing, 30-point loss to Mississippi State and what became a potentially damning home loss to Troy on Saturday.

As a result, there is plenty of finger-pointing and sophomore linebacker and defensive standout Devin White isn't pleased. White indicated that "we need people to start studying more and knowing what's going on" after the loss and that quote is gaining quite a bit of traction.

Beyond that, Orgeron himself did not shy away from spreading the blame all over.

"It's everybody. It's not just the line. It's the linebackers, safeties fitting. That big (74- yard) run was a mistake by a young player. He wasn't in his gap, and we missed a lot of tackles. We should have tackled better. We got beat on fundamentals tonight — blocking and tackling."

Even without star running back Derrius Guice in the lineup, there is (obviously) no excuse for LSU losing to Troy at home and it was a listless performance on both sides of the ball. It will be interesting to see what the next step is for the Tigers but not much is going right at the moment in Baton Rouge.
