ESPN unveils broadcast team for season opener

Week 1 non-conference clashes are the perfect way to ring a new college football season.

And ESPN just unveiled the broadcast crew for its season opener. When no. 6 LSU squares off against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field Sept. 3, Steve Levy will do the play-by-play, Brian Griese will handle the color commentary, and Todd McShay will be the sideline reporter.

The Tigers will look to bounce back from a disappointing 9-3 (5-3) finish with one of the best defensive backfields in he nation, and running back Leonard Fournette, who will once again be a top contenders for the Heisman Trophy in 2016. The Badgers, meanwhile, will look to improve on a solid Big Ten performance last season that saw them go 10-3 overall and 6-2 in conference, culminating in a 23-21 victory over no. 25 USC in the Holiday Bowl.
