"First of all I want to thank god for giving me such amazing parents and family members for keeping me on the right path and an opportunity to play division 1 football," Curry said on social media while making his commitment. "I want to thank all my coaches, teachers, teammates and my amazing principal for pushing me and making me become a better person on and off the field."
Curry had previously namedFlorida and Michigan, among others, as schools in the running for him.
Rated as a four-star by ESPN, Curry is one of the most intriguing prospects of this year's recruiting class. Curry is highly valued for his ability to make the big play, as he had three touchdown runs of 90-plus yards for his high school last year to go with several other long runs for a score.
With Curry, LSU has a whopping 19 commitments for the 2018 class, most among all FBS teams. Their class ranks third in the nation at 247Sports behind Ohio State and Miami.
