Fournette's injury might be worse than originally thought as he misses fifth day of practice

This is starting to make some fans feel uncomfortable.

Leonard Fournette sprained his ankle in practice last week and it looks like it hasn't gotten healed up enough to practice again. The team has one more practice on Tuesday (today) and it's rare for a player to miss practice the day before a scrimmage and still participate in it, Jim Kleinpeter of NOLA.com reports.

Fournette has a walking boot on his foot and with less than two weeks before the big season opener against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field, this kind of injury probably has some fans concerned. However, the running back and Heisman hopeful has said that he is confident he'll be back in time for the game.

The junior rushed for 1,953 yards and 22 scores on 300 carries last season and is a favorite to win the Heisman this year. Should Fournette not be able to carry the load for LSU, sophomore Derrius Guice is likely to be the starter. He rushed for 436 on 51 attempts as a freshman in 2015.
