After landing five-star recruit, one SEC team looking at another with planned official visit

This would be a huge addition to an already impressive class.

Five-star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (6-foot-1, 195 pound) has reportedly planned an official visit to LSU for January 12, sources confirmed to Geaux247.

Chase bypassed the early signing period and will continue to take official visits before announcing his commitment closer to National Signing Day in February.

The senior plans to participate in the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando next month and could also make an official visit to Auburn after spending the weekend in Baton Rogue, but hasn't confirmed a set date.

Chase ranks as the No. 15 wide receiver, No. 4 player from the state of Louisiana and the No. 75 overall prospect for the 2018 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.

The senior is also considering Michigan, TCU and other programs among his 28 scholarship offers.

LSU signed top-ranked 2018 wide receiver prospect Terrace Marshall Jr., as well as four-stars Kenan Jones and Jaray Jenkins during the early signing period on Wednesday.
