Leonard Fournette posts powerful message amid LSU shutdown rumors

LSU is currently is a public relations crisis, as the state government's budget problems could lead to all student athletes at the school could be ineligible for the 2016 season.

Well, the kids are not stupid; they are aware of the situation. That includes star football running back Leonard Fournette, who posted this message to Twitter on Friday.

For the record, I think this situation will be resolved before the April 30 date that lead to all LSU students being given an incomplete for the semester. However, it's very admirable of Fournette to make this type of response in the situation and to take a leadership role among his fellow student athletes.

Hopefully we get to see Fournette on the field next year, because it will be silly if this budget issue lets all of the LSU athletes down.
