Directed by Drea Cooper, this series will be produced by Campfire Studios, Axios Entertainment, and former LSU legend Shaquille O'Neal's Jersey Legends.
Jersey Legends is under the Authentic Studios umbrella.
A press release by Prime Video states that the docuseries follows "a historic turning point in the NCAA upon policy changes on name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights — guaranteed to shape the trajectory of college sports forever — highlighted by the surreal experiences of LSU's top players, coaches, and administrators."
"LSU, the flagship university of the state of Louisiana, is one of the most iconic brands in college athletics," the release states. "LSU boasts an SEC-best 51 team national championships and is currently home to three of the top-10 collegiate earners in NIL."
The press release also notes that the stars shown throughout the docuseries have over 20 million collective social media followers. Those stars include Reese, Dunne, Daniels and SEC Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year Flau'jae Johnson (who's also signed to Roc Nation as a rapper).
For context as to their success, here are some recent NIL deals they've signed:
- Reese: Reebok, PlayStation, Raising Canes, McDonald's, Coach, Wingstop, Outback Steakhouse, Amazon and more.
- Daniels: Raising Canes, HEYDUDE Shoes, Urban Outfitters.
- Dunne: Omaha Productions, Leaf Trading Cards, ACCELERATOR and more.
- Johnson: Powerade, JBL Audio, Tampax and more.
It's no secret that if you go to LSU and perform, you'll become a "star across the state," said Cody Worsham, the chief brand officer for LSU athletics.
"Our motto around here: One state, two colors, three letters — forever LSU," Worsham said. "And what that essentially means is, the one-state piece is, we are the brand of Louisiana. Like we're not competing with another Power Five school. It's not Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State or Ole Miss.
"This is LSU. It's Louisiana. You're going to come here, you're going to be a star across the state."
No release date has been announced yet for the docuseries.
