Report: LSU down to four candidates for OC job

That's an interesting list of candidates.

The LSU offensive coordinator job has still not been filled with some of the possible candidates finding other jobs. However, the job search has been a little more exciting than some of the head coaching jobs available out there.

According to a report from The Advocate, LSU's focus for the vacancy is now centered around four candidates:Alabama offensive adviser Steve Sarkisian, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich, and current Pitt offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

Kiffin and Helfrich had been rumored for a while now, but Sarkisian is a new name. Kiffin is still the unquestioned No. 1 candidate, but it's sounding like Canada might be the second choice assuming Kiffin doesn't take the LSU job. Pitt was ranked No. 42 nationally in total offense, but scored 42.3 points a game this past season so that would be ideal to pair up with Ed Orgeron and Dave Aranda's soon-to-be dominating defense.
