LSU is losing offensive line coach Jeff Grimes to BYU as he will become their offensive coordinator. However, coach Ed Orgeron reportedly already has his replacement set as Los Angeles Chargers assistant offensive line coach James Cregg will take the now-vacant offensive line coach position.

SOURCE: #LSU plans on hiring James Cregg from the LA Chargers to be the Tigers new O-line coach, replacing Jeff Grimes (new #BYU OC).. Cregg won a Super Bowl with the Broncos as an assistant & helped develop 1st RDers Tyron Smith and Matt Kalil, & has recruited in the SEC.

Cregg clearly sounds like a good choice as he knows how to recruit in the conference already and has Super Bowl experience. He was a coach at Tennessee and USC before landing with the Chargers and was Idaho and Colgate as an assistant before that.
