LSU has already lost out on Lane Kiffin as its offensive coordinator, but it does look like its about to zero in on another coordinator. NOLA.com is reporting that the Tigers are zeroing in on Pittsburgh's Matt Canada to become the next coordinator and bring back the Tiger offense to become potent once again.

Canada is expected to meet with Ed Orgeron and the rest of his staff on Tuesday and is now the leading candidate. The 44-year old was a finalist for the Broyles Award —- given to the best assistant coach —- which was ultimately given to Clemson's Brent Venables.

Canada improved Pittsburgh's offense from scoring 28.2 points in 2015 to 42.3 this season as well as helping to record 447.5 total yards a game. Canada has served as an offensive coordinator for 12 seasons at six schools, but you have to think that becoming a coordinator at LSU might encourage him to stay a little longer than he has at other stops.
