LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was involved in a horrific car crash this weekend, which claimed the lives of two other players: former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler, and Nebraska punter Sam Foltz.
On Tuesday, Delahoussaye released his first public remarks since the deadly accident.
Full transcription of the tweet:
I want to say thank you so very much for all the thoughts and prayers, it truly means so much to me and my family. I am back in Louisiana and have very minor injuries and will recover back to 100% in a very short amount of time. The main thing I want to put focus on is sending many prayer's to Mike and Sam's families. They need prayers now more than ever. They were amazing friends and I will miss them dearly. God Bless

Delahoussaye was able to escape the wreckage of the accident, but he reportedly has no memory of how that occurred. He suffered second-degree burns in the accident, which are expected to heal over the next few weeks.
