National CFB writer expects this coach to be an LSU front runner if he's able to accomplish one feat

Could we have our next head coach sooner rather than later?

LSU has lost to Alabama five consecutive times since the 2011 season, a streak head coach Ed Orgeron hopes to break.

And if he can do so, fans can "consider him one of the front-runners to win the job," per Bleacher Report's Barrett Sallee.

It's a mighty task to disrupt Alabama's dominant season, but the Tigers are 3-0 and have averaged 41.7 points per game since Les Miles was canned.

That's also on the heels of Leonard Fournette ripping off a school record 284-yard day against previously No. 11-ranked Ole Miss. And that was on a day when the electric running back wasn't even fully healthy.

We'll see if anyone can stop the Alabama team that hasn't scored fewer than 34 points all season to match its dominant defense.
