Clemson and Georgia reportedly are the frontrunners, but a visit to LSU for the Tigers' contest against Alabama may have the resurgent SEC squad in the running for the five-star prospect, quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The 2018 No. 1 player in the country weighed in on his decision to visit LSU, per Scout:
"I just want to see what the coaches are like and what they have to say," said Lawrence. "Obviously There is a lot going on there right now, but I'm looking forward to checking it out.
"Hopefully the atmosphere will be awesome."
After rattling off a 3-0 record under head coach Ed Orgeron, LSU has a (surprising) chance to get right back into the College Football Playoff with a win over Alabama on Saturday.
Expect Baton Rouge to be rocking when the 6'6" quarterback steps foot on campus.
