No. 1, No. 2 CBs in the country confirm commitment plans

All eyes will be on their announcements.

Five-star American Heritage cornerbacks Patrick Surtain Jr. and Tyson Campbell plan to announce their respective commitments together during ESPN's live coverage of National Signing Day next Wednesday, the school confirmed to Andrew Ivins of 247Sports.

Surtain and Campbell, both of whom were U.S. Army All-Americans, rank as the No. 1 and No. 2 cornerbacks, respectively, for the 2018 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

They will be joined by several teammates including four-star Miami commit Nesta Silvera and four-star weakside defensive end Andrew Chatfield.

Surtain, the son for former Pro Bowler Patrick Surtain Sr., will choose between LSU, Alabama, Clemson and Miami, with the Tigers having long been been considered the favorite to earn his commitment.

Campbell will choose between Georgia, Alabama, Miami and Tennessee. The Bulldogs have accounted for 70 percent of the five-star cornerback's 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, but the Vols have emerged as a late contender since hiring head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
