Booger McFarland has been an outspoken critic of former LSU head coach Les Miles for quite sometime now, even advocating for Miles ouster after the 2015 season.

So, it's not exactly surprising to hear McFarland say that Miles lost his mojo way back in 2011 when the Tigers got dismantled by Alabama 21-0 in the National Championship game,
"He got outcoached," said McFarland, who played defensive line at LSU until 1999. "Ever since that moment, Les Miles hasn't been the same coach."
McFarland discussed Miles and LSU recently with Andrew Beaton and Ben Cohen of the Wall Street Journal, who point to the Tide's success under Saban as the primary reason for the sinking fortunes of other SEC schools. Coaches like Miles, Mark Richt, Will Muschamp and Gene Chizik have all been fired during Saban's tenure.

And many of those same programs have hired his former assistants—-Kirby Smart at Georgia, Jim McElwain at Florida, and Will Muschamp at South Carolina.
That said, McFarland may have been a little harsh in his critique of Miles, but the possibility is strong that the sting of that demoralizing 2011 national title loss never completely faded.
