Sione Teuhama will be staying in the state of Louisiana, but he won't be playing for the LSU Tigers. The suspended defensive end will transfer to FCS Southeastern Louisiana. This means he will be eligible to play immediately for the Lions and won't have to take a redshirt year.

Teuhema's transferring to Southeastern Louisiana after LSU coach Les Miles' ambiguous quotes about his suspension in May. Teuhema was suspended for the final three games of 2015 and didn't play in the Texas Bowl. He was suspended again in April during spring practice and Miles said he wouldn't be participating with the team for the rest of the spring.
A month later, Miles said "I don't know if that suspension will conclude ever. Go from there."
Teuhema committed to LSU after decommitting from Texas in 2014 and while he might have only been a a three-star recruit, it was more important for future recruiting. When he signed his letter of intent with LSU, his brother Maea, a five-star recruit in the 2015 class, pledged a verbal commitment to LSU.
As a sophomore in 2015, Teuhema had 13 tackles and two tackles for loss.
