Watch LSU RB Derrius Guice run over a defender Leonard Fournette style

Derrius Guice is no stranger to contact and showed it during a recent LSU scrimmage, catching a swing pass out of the backfield and punishing defenders on his way to a 19-yard gain.

With runs like that one, the freshman tailback should see some playing time, even with a guy like Leonard Fournette ahead of him, according to Nola.com's Jim Kleinpeter:

LSU freshman running back Derrius Guice appears to be pushing for playing time, even with Heisman Trophy candidate Leonard Fournette in the backfield. Here's a look at the role he might be playing.

Smaller than Fournette, but quick, fast and a good receiver, the 5-feet-11, 222-pound Guice seems destined for the role played by Terrence Magee last season as a third-down back.

Kleinpeter also writes that Guice is in the running for a kick returning job with the likes of Fournette, fellow freshman Donte Jackson and Trey Quinn, who has shown a knack for catching punts anyway necessary.

Wherever Les Miles finds playing time for Guice, if he keeps running like he did in the highlight above, he will definitely make an impact.
