Those opening week kick-off games in Dallas sure are paying off in recruiting, just not for Texas. They are paying off in recruiting for Alabama, who for the third time in the Saban era have landed a tight end from Texas. Sunday 3-star (or 4-star depending on the recruiting service) tight end Major Tennison of Bullard, Texas, announced his commitment to the Tide.

Tennison was the Tide's top tight end target and they were competing with Texas to land the 6'6" pass catcher. The addition of Tennison pushes the Tide's class for 2017 to the number one ranking according to scout.com, but that stat isn't unanimously agreed on. What is agreed on however is that the rich get richer.
