Four-star defensive back Myles Mason (6-foot-2, 205 pounds, Trussville, AL) is one of the top recruits from the state of Alabama for the class of 2018. And while the Crimson Tide were a major player in Mason’s recruitment, the four-star will instead be heading to Mississippi State.

Mason becomes the 26th commitment for Mississippi State’s 2018 class, which is rating highly thanks to the volume it has accumulated early. There is still good quality in that class too, as Mason becomes the fourth four-star to commit per the 247Sports Composite.

Mason is the son of former NFL running back Larry Mason. The elder Mason played his college ball at Southern Miss and Troy before playing two years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and the Cleveland Browns.
