After Jalen Hurts delivered a career day for Alabama against Mississippi State in Saturday's 51-3 win, more and more Tide fans are wondering why there hasn't been more consideration thrown Hurts' way for the Heisman trophy. While Hurts has been very good for the Tide, nationally many who cover college football think Tide fans should pump the breaks on all the Hurts for Heisman talk.

Great game, but it's Mississippi St. He's not the best player on his team. What about Heisman consideration for Jonathan Allen?

Realistically Tide fans should be setting their sights on next year for a legit Heisman run for Hurts. The Tide QB isn't strong enough in the passing game just yet to come away with the award, but if Hurt continues to grow as a passer and can pair a strong passing game with his electric ability to run the football the award could be his.
