The No. 1 team in the nation -- at least in the Coaches Poll -- has been knocked off. Alabama went to Oxford this afternoon and fell to Ole Miss by a 23-17 final.
The Tide led 14-3 at the half, but were unable to produce any offense in the second half. A pair of Bo Wallace touchdown passes in the fourth quarter put Ole Miss up 23-17, but Alabama still had a chance after blocking Ole Miss' final extra point attempt.
The Tide marched down the field and it felt like they just might escape with a one-point win. That was until Blake Sims put a ball up for grabs in the endzone and Senquez Golson made a tremendous interception to seal the game for the Rebels.
Golson does a great job to wrestle the ball away from OJ Howard, gain control, and get his foot inbounds.
So far seven ranked teams -- Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, Stanford, Wisconsin, and BYU -- have lost this weekend. This weekend has been insane.
