South Carolina QB promises to make Clemson “feel what they missed out on”

This is quite the prediction.

South Carolina four-star quarterback commit Dekereon Joyner is a South Carolina native, so he's very familiar with the rivalry between the Gamecocks and the Clemson Tigers.

Of course, Joyner ultimately decided to stay home and committed to Will Muschamp's team over the other big-time program in the state, Clemson, and he's already making predictions about his time at QB for the Gamecocks.

Joyner doesn't just say that he'll be Clemson as the Gamecocks starting QB, but that he'll never lose to them as long as he's the QB under center at South Carolina.

Still, Joyner is going to have to wait, as budding star quarterback Jake Bentley figures to be under center for the Gamecocks for the next few years.

If you're a fan of South Carolina, this is what you want to hear, but if you're a fan of Clemson this just adds another element to the rivalry. Either way, predicting multiple victories over the team that just won the national championship is a bold strategy, Cotton.

Joyner is the no. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2018.
