Ty'Son Williams has had the hardest time trying to go back home to play football. He started his career at North Carolina and wanted to transfer back home to the South Carolina Gamecocks after his freshman season. UNC initially blocked his transfer and wouldn't let him go there on scholarship.

Fortunately, Williams had quite the creative work around for that particular issue. He will attend South Carolina this year thanks to the help of GI Bill —- his mother is a major in the army —- and he's been admitted to the university so it is now official.
The transfer block is why he can't earn a scholarship this year and has to walk on, but he will be eligible for a scholarship next season as a redshirt sophomore. As a high school recruit, Williams was ranked as the No. 5 player in the state of South Carolina.
