Dakereon Joyner is a four-star quarterback in the class of 2018 and has officially committed to play college in a Power 5 conference. He made the announcement publicly and some fans of home state team are going to be very happy for the North Charleston, S.C. native.

Joyner is ranked as the No. 10 dual-threat QB in the country and the No. 4 recruit in the state by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The 6’2″, 200-pound quarterback was down to the Gamecocks and N.C. State and chose to stay a little closer to home in Columbia.

He also held offers from Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Georgia, Tennessee and Oklahoma among others. He also earned some accolades for his play the last two years:
