Four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lampley has quite a bit of time to make a commitment to a school since he is in the class of 2019. However, it would appear that five schools are now "sticking out" to the 6-foot-4, 299-pound tackle out of Nashville.
He said that Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Penn State are the schools sticking out and it sounds like he had a pretty good visit with Vols offensive line coach Will Friend.
"I mean I really enjoyed my visit," Lampley told GoVols247. "I liked spending time with coach Friend and really like getting to know him. Also I really liked getting to know coach Pruitt. I feel like they're going to be able to turn this program around."
Friend was a two-time All-SEC selection as a guard at Alabama so he knows a thing or about what it takes to be a good offensive lineman. That surely has to entice guys like Lampley who already have great size and are looking to take their game to the next level.
Lampley is ranked as the No. 11 player at his position and No. 5 player in the state of Tennessee according to 247Sports' own rankings. He also has offers from Arkansas, Florida, Louisville, LSU and Ole Miss among others.
