SportsCenter's Twitter trolled Florida Gator fans with a single #TBT tweet

This was a hilariously clever dig.

#ThrowbackThursday on social media is usually light-hearted and fun, most of the time. SportsCenter's Twitter account decided it would be a good #TBT picture to show the two quarterbacks who will be playing in next Sunday's Super Bowl 50 — Cameron Newton and Peyton Manning — when they were in college. Manning went to Tennessee, of course, and Newton is known primarily for his 2010 season at Auburn, during which the Tigers won a National Title.

However, SportsCenter hilariously decided to use a photo of Newton while he was at the University of Florida, where his career was virtually nonexistent. He passed for 40 yards behind Tim Tebow in 2007 as his backup, and saw limited action during spring football. Newton left Florida in 2008 after he was arrested for stealing a student's laptop and throwing it out of a dormitory window when he was confronted by police. Lo and behold, check out the photo SportsCenter used.

Whoever decided to use this photo obviously wasn't a Florida fan, and it's pretty funny. Keep trolling, man or woman behind the SportsCenter Twitter account.
