Tennessee has been bombarded with bad news the last few days with Butch Jones getting hit with some hot seat talk and star running back Jalen Hurd transferring out of the program. The Vols also won't be getting any visits from four-star athlete Alontae Taylor either despite him being a Tennessee native.

If Tennessee wants to look ahead though, they did just secure a commitment from former quarterback-turned-tight end James Brown.
The 6'4", 218-pounder just transitioned to the tight end position this year, which would explain why he might be ranked only as a three-star recruit. The Orlando, Fla. native is ranked as the No. 41 tight end in the class right now, but could prove to be much better than his ranking.
