Before the alleged incident in 1996, Peyton Manning might have been in trouble in 1994 as well

Another incident involving Peyton Manning?

While much has been made of the 1996 alleged sexual assault of Peyton Manning against trainer Jamie Naughright, the Washington Post has uncovered what might have preceded the incident involving the quarterback.

According to the Post, chunks of the transcript (79 pages in total) from the 2002 court proceedings are missing at the request of Manning's lawyers.

That is except for this exchange between Naughright's lawyer and the quarterback:

Q: "Were you aware that in 1994 Dr. Naughright was a guest lecturer in a course taught by Carmen Tegano?"
A: "No."
...

Q: "Do you recall it ever being reported by Carmen Tegano, or anyone else, that Dr. Naughright had spoken to Carmen Tegano about the possibility of Peyton Manning having committed academic fraud in that course?"
A: "No."

When asked about the possibility of Manning cheating in that course, here's what Tegano said, per the Post:

"It was a one-hour pass/fail class that was required of all athletes, and under no circumstances did Peyton Manning cheat. The class was based on attendance ... It was an orientation class," Tegano said. "Do you think he needed to cheat in a pass/fail class? ... We're talking about a man who graduated with one of the highest grade-point averages in his class."

Whether this led to Manning's incident with Naughright or not remains unknown. What is known is this opens up a whole new set of questions about Manning's time at Tennessee.
