Former defensive assistant Bert Biffani announced that he will be joining former defensive coordinator Charles Davis as part of Jeremy Pruitt's inaugural Vols staff on Tuesday via Twitter.
Thank you to all the Florida State coaches, players and fans for all the lifelong memories we will always share. With that said, I am excited to be heading to Knoxville and joining the staff at the University of Tennessee. #GBO 🍊 pic.twitter.com/HxGN1fhnQE

Biffani will serve as Tennessee's defensive quality control coach, according to his Twitter bio. He had previously held the same position at Florida State dating back to 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Kelly joined the Vols' staff as a safeties and special teams coach in December weeks after Pruitt's hiring. On Monday, the veteran assistant called the first-year head coach "the most talented coach I'd worked with at that time in my 26 years."
"Coach Fulmer, he showed what kind of leadership he had," Kelly said. "Coach Pruitt and I had the chance to work together in 2013, and I told a bunch of people, and I told him, he was the most talented coach I'd worked with at that time in my 26 years. And for Coach Fulmer to be able to see that and to give him this opportunity, that's great.
"He's gonna do great things here."
Kelly has made previous stops at Jacksonville State, Henderson State, Nicholls State, Georgia Tech and Florida State of course.
