ESPN's Chris Low drops bombshell on Jalen Hurd's decision

That's an interesting development.

Jalen Hurd and Butch Jones dropped the bomb on Vol Nation earlier today when it was confirmed that the running back would be transferring out of the program. It seems like it was a result of a poor showing against South Carolina with only 16 yards on eight carries with a touchdown.

However, ESPN's Chris Low said on the Finebaum Show that the decision was actually not made last second, but was rather one being considered before the season even started.

There have been reports that Hurd was unhappy with the formation and offensive scheming from coordinator Mike DeBord. The 6'4", 240-pound back wanted to run more out of the I-Formation and run in between the tackles rather than in a spread out formation.
