Former Tennessee receiver calls South Carolina loss worst of Jones' tenure

He makes a good point.

Former Tennessee receiver Jayson Swain was part of WBIR Knoxville's post game report on Saturday. He witnessed an embarrassing 24-21 loss to South Carolina and he called out the team for it on the show. He believes it to be the worst loss of Jones' tenure:

"Absolutely. The first three years you were lacking some talent. This was supposed to be the year when you had all the talent, you had all the guys that you brought in. Ninety-five percent of this football team is Butch Jones' players and we heard that this was going to be the best year.

"And to lose to a South Carolina team with a poor offense, 3-4 record, a quarterback that should be in high school right now. To come out there after a bye week and lay that type of effort on the line. It was inexcusable. It's embarrassing."

It has several people questioning the Butch Jones' coaching ability even with all of the injuries that have piled up this season. Even missing all of the key defensive players that Tennessee did against the Gamecocks, that should have been an easy win.
