Four-star Florida native rejects in-state powers to go here for college

Now there's a surprise out of the Sunshine State.

Four-star defensive tackle Kivon Bennett plays for football powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He naturally has offers from all the in-state powers like Florida, Florida State and Miami, but decided to go out of state for school.

If you recognize Bennett's name at all that might be because the 6'3", 265-pound DT is the son of Cornelius Bennett who was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time AFC Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL. The younger Bennett also had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and LSU.
