Another VFL joins Jeremy Pruitt's staff.

Former Tennessee linebacker Kevin Simon has reportedly accepted a position on the Vols' coaching staff, according to former teammate and current Knoxville area radio host Jayson Swain.

Simon's position title hasn't been confirmed but is believed to be an "off-the-field role" and he will "reportedly work in personnel/player development, according to Zach Ragan of A to Z Sports Nashville.

The former linebacker played for the Vols from 2002 to 2005, recording 237 total tackles and 5.5 sacks during his collegiate career. Simon was drafted in the seventh-round by the Washington Redskins in 2006 and spent one season with the team as a practice squad member.

Simon previously worked on Tennessee's coaching staff as a graduate assistant before joining the Dallas Cowboys as a scout in 2009 and holding the position for eight seasons. He is the third reported former Tennessee player on Jeremy Pruitt's coaching staff joining cornerbacks coach Terry Fair and quality control assistant Montario Hardesty.
