The meltdown in Knoxville has begun. While the team could still finish 9-3 or even 10-3 with a bowl game, it seems that the players are sick of losing the big games and now the trap games. With a 24-21 loss to South Carolina this past weekend, there were rumors of Butch Jones' job being in jeopardy and players pretty upset with the record.
Defensive end Jonathan Kongbo sent out a rather cryptic tweet about it and now it seems that star running back Jalen Hurd has reportedly told teammates he not only plans to transfer, but change positions.
The 6'4", 240-pound back has recorded only 451 rushing yards this season after powering his way to over 1,200 last season. However, there may be good news for Tennessee as it may just be Hurd unhappy about some run formations according to one Nashville sports radio host:
Regardless, this is not a good look for the Vols right now.
