Four-star QB Michael Penix decommits from program after he claims he's not wanted

That's not good.

Four-star quarterback Mike Penix had been committed to Tennessee for some time and he decided to decommit on Wednesday. However, the reason for his decommitment gives us an insight into how this new Tennessee staff is operating on the recruiting trail. He took to Twitter to talk about how the new staff wasn't really interested in him and that's why he decided to open up his recruitment again.

It looks like the 6-foot-2, 177-pound Tampa native is only giving himself a week to make his new commitment though as he still plans on signing during the early period this month that starts on the 20th. Penix is ranked as the No. 13 pro-style passer in the class of 2018 and the No. 54 recruit in the state of Florida according to Rivals.

He also holds offers from Arizona, Florida State, Oregon and USF among others.
