Tennessee is 4-4 on the season.

The Tennessee athletics program reported over a dozen NCAA rules violations just this year, and now it looks like the football program is in a bit of trouble.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, fifteen infractions were reported in total during the first 10 months of 2016. All the incidents were reportedly secondary except for two, which the football program self reported.

The first happened on Jan. 26 when several members of the coaching staff were using footballs during a 6 a.m. tryout for walk-on kickers. Because the workout did not take place during the team's designated season, it was deemed inappropriate.

The second occurred when an assistant coach received a text message from the father of a recruit, which reportedly resulted in the coach accidentally responding to the text with a non-permitted phone call.
