Tennessee has gone through its fair share of woes both on the field and off it the past few seasons, but one SEC coach thinks this year's team might be the one that breaks through. Even though Tennessee missed out on someone being drafted in this past year's NFL Draft, that doesn't mean it isn't a game, it just means there's more talent staying in school and wanting to win.

One anonymous coach from Lindy's College Football Southeastern edition said that the Vols have accumulated the talent to win games, but the culture and savvy to win those games is a whole different animal.
"Tennessee has accumulated a lot of talent. But the hardest thing to do in the SEC is break through and win those crucial games when it gets tight. That's hard. It's a culture. You have to develop the culture. It just doesn't happen. I don't know if they have that culture yet. We won't know until this season. They lost some games last year they should have won but couldn't hold onto the lead (Oklahoma and Florida). But they are a good football team."
The coach also liked Dobbs and has the strategy for keeping him in check this season.
"Josh Dobbs is a dangerous quarterback. Their offense is built where you have to keep from getting in long-yardage situations. That's true for most offenses, but it's particularly true for Tennessee. And with Dobbs, you've got to keep him in the pocket and make him throw. He can kill you when he gets outside the pocket with his legs or his arm."

The publication also predicts that the Vols will finish at the top of the SEC East and No. 6 nationally. A lot of that will come down to the offense performing in crunch time and Dobbs in particular having a better season than he did in 2015 when he finished the season with 15 passing touchdowns and five interceptions to go with 2,291 passing yards.
