It looks like another case where being a recruit's first offer paid off.
On Saturday, four-star all-purpose back Lyn-J Dixon (5-foot-11, 178 pounds, Butler, Ga.) announced that he had made his decision by committing to Tennessee.

"After many prayers and conversations with family and friends, I have deicded to commit to the University of Tennessee," Dixon said on Twitter.
The decision comes a week after Dixon got back from a visit to Knoxville.
247Sports noted that Tennessee was originally Dixon's first Division 1 offer over two years ago, and it looks like the long pursuit has paid off for both sides. Dixon also had offers from Georgia, Alabama, and Michigan, among others.
Tennessee continues to shoot up the recruiting rankings, as the Vols now rank eighth in the nation with 13 commitments on board for the 2018 class. Despite being a four-star and the No. 6 all-purpose back in the nation, Dixon is only the seventh-highest rated commitment for Tennessee in what is becoming a stellar recruiting class.
