Report: Tennessee loses starting tackle to knee injury

That's less than ideal.

Tennessee's offensive line was supposed to be one of the stronger aspects of the offense this year with the depth and talent finally built up by Butch Jones and his recent recruiting classes. That's a good thing because the depth just took a hit according to GoVols' John Brice.

Sophomore right tackle Chance Hall was expected to start on the line this season, but will likely miss several weeks if not the entire season. He had successful surgery on his knee for a non-ACL injury and the timetable is unclear on when he will actually return.

The 6'4", 318-pounder is definitely going to be missed along the line, but it should be an opportunity for another lineman to step up and earn some more playing time. This is how you build depth along the line though and it should become a good learning leap for someone down the depth chart.
